Now that the medical marijuana law passed in Michigan how long before doctors can prescribe it.?
Well now that it is legal to get medical marijuana in Michigan how long does it take for the law to get writ-in up. Basically when can I start getting it for my medical issues. Also where would I be able to buy it. Well thanks a lot peeps.
Sooner or later. Depends on when your doctors new stash runs out.

The new law will go into effect on December 4, 2008, and the Department of Community Health will have an additional 120 days to issue regulations for a medical marijuana registry.
That doesn’t mean you’ll be able to “get” marijuana then. It means you’ll be able to apply for a card from the registry that will allow you to grow up to 12 plants and possess up to 2.5 ounces of usable marijuana.
To get the card, you’ll need a note from your doctor and to pay a fee, the amount of which has yet to be determined.
If you’re unable to grow for yourself, you can designate one primary caregiver to grow for you and pay that person for the service.
So it’ll be about five months before all this starts to happen, during which time, I’d imagine there will have to be some discussion as to how the patients and their caregivers are to obtain the seeds and/or cuttings from which to start their plants. The new law is silent on how that bit of necessary commerce is to be conducted.
